When we were initially in the market for our first home, we were planning to buy a new construction townhouse and we were not even going to use a realtor. Sam was recommended to us by two people we trust very much, so we thought we would meet with her and see if we thought it was even necessary to go with a realtor. Within a few minutes of meeting Sam, we knew we definitely wanted to work with her. Her professionalism, caring nature and sense of humour immediately drew us in. In the months that came, she took us to many properties, sincerely exploring each place with us, always helping us weigh the pros and cons, and never pressuring us to make a purchase. She always responded to texts, calls and emails ridiculously quickly, and never made us feel like we were wasting her time with our seemingly impossible quest to find the perfect home for us. She made appointments to take us to every place we even mentioned we might be interested in, and always offered to arrange return visits if we were still unsure, never making us feel like we were buyers on a budget who were wasting her time (which we worried we were!) She didn't even flinch when, after looking at townhouse after townhouse, we decided that maybe we wanted to buy a house instead. We shifted our focus and Sam offered lots of advice and support. We looked forward to our almost weekly meetings with Sam not just to look at houses, but to visit and laugh with her too. Once we were settled in the new house Sam helped us find, we joked that we should pretend that we didn't like it anymore and needed a new one because we missed hanging out with her on a regular basis! We always felt like she made our best interests her priority and would never have allowed us to buy something that wasn't a perfect fit for us. We have already recommended Sam to everyone we know who is looking to buy or sell, and will definitely be using her again when it comes time for us to move to our next house.

When we started the process of selling our townhouse and looking for a new house, we were fairly sceptical of real estate agents. We viewed this group of people as nice as most people are, but a bit of a necessary evil. Someone who knows the ropes of the housing business, but generally isn't necessary as in these times the houses just sell themselves. Now we can say we have changed our tune. Sam stepped up for us and advised in situations in our transaction as if it were her own house on the line. She was professional yet firm when needed. Now you might say "That's her job!" and you'd be correct, however she went beyond what we'd expect at all times. Our townhouse took extra time to sell since we lived in an area where everything was slow. This gave us extra time to think about the new house, change our minds, think again, and over again. Sam always took our call, looking at different properties while remaining upbeat and professional. All through the process Sam was personable and honest, funny and straightforward.

Not only is she our choice for a real estate agent, we are proud to say she is our friend. We will (and have) recommend her to anyone and will be calling her for all our future real estate needs.
